Open-pit mine in Gubin

In the plan for the Polish Energy Strategy until 2030, we can find a project open-pit mine lignite in Gubin (Poland), near the border with Germany. The investor is PGE Gubin, a subsidiary of the state-owned PGE concern. This project has shaken the residents of Gubin. To protest action quickly joined Greenpeace. Construction of the mine is associated with the destruction of 15 villages and 3,000 hectares of forest. Important thing is expropriation - it is estimated that will be 2 ? 3 thousand of affected people. There is another association against mine ? ?Nie Kopalni Odkrywkowej?. Conflict was from in 2013 and is still not certain whether the mine in Gubin uprising. The project to build the mine is still in the plan Polish Energy Strategy.
